A humpback whale was recently stranded on a beach near the small town of Buzios (Rio de Janeiro). A towing ship arrived to pull him/her back out to sea. This is the 90th whale to be stranded in the past year. I wonder why there have been so many? Mabye the global warming or ocean pollution?

I also wonder why there have been so many whales dying on the beach such as the ones in 3 of the 4 pictures above. Whales are magnificent critters and should not be shamed by dead pictures on blogs. It is indeed a shame though that so many have been dying.
